Salad Days

A couple weeks ago, I went through all of my old artwork from college and found a book of lithos I made where I was using word searches as a typographical element. I guess lately, I’ve been looking backward toward simpler times. I didn’t have a cell phone, there was no social media and everything wasn’t so immediately accessible. ("Salad days" is a Shakespearean idiomatic expression that means a youthful time, a period of carefree innocence, idealism and pleasure associated with youth.)

Fast forward today, and I scroll past 20+ meme’s a day—positive thoughts that are gone in seconds. Post-it notes on the bathroom mirror are more permanent. So this is a piece you get to live with and be reminded daily to find the positive.
